TP-Link EAP230-Wall AC1200 Wireless MU-MIMO Gigabit Wall-Plate Access Point

The TP-Link EAP230-Wall is a professional AC1200 dual-band Wi-Fi 5 wall-plate access point designed to provide reliable and high-speed wireless connectivity in individual rooms. Its discreet wall-mounted design makes it particularly suitable for environments with multiple rooms, such as hotels, offices, dormitories, apartments, guesthouses and other hospitality or commercial facilities.

The EAP230-Wall delivers combined wireless speeds of up to 1,167 Mbps, with up to 867 Mbps on the 5 GHz band and 300 Mbps on the 2.4 GHz band. With 802.11ac Wi-Fi 5 technology and MU-MIMO, it can communicate with multiple compatible devices simultaneously, helping improve wireless efficiency and performance in busy environments.

Designed to blend naturally into room interiors, the EAP230-Wall features an ultra-thin 11 mm profile and a compact wall-plate form factor. It is designed to fit 86 mm and EU-standard wall junction boxes, making it suitable for discreet and convenient installation in hotel rooms, offices, apartments and similar spaces.

For wired connectivity, the EAP230-Wall provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports. The PoE uplink port supports 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet and receives both network data and power through PoE, while the additional Gigabit downlink port can provide wired network connectivity to another device. The access point supports 802.3af/802.3at PoE, allowing installation using a single Ethernet cable for both power and network connectivity.

The EAP230-Wall integrates with the TP-Link Omada SDN platform, enabling centralized configuration, monitoring and management of compatible network devices. Depending on the deployment, it can be managed through an Omada Software Controller, Omada Hardware Controller, Omada Cloud-Based Controller or Omada App.

The access point supports 200+ concurrent clients under TP-Link’s specified conditions and includes a range of professional networking and security features. These include Captive Portal, VLAN, SSID-to-VLAN mapping, MAC address filtering, wireless client isolation, 802.1X authentication, WPA/WPA2 security, Beamforming, Band Steering, Load Balancing and Fast/Seamless Roaming.

With its compact wall-plate design, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, PoE support and centralized Omada management, the TP-Link EAP230-Wall is an ideal solution for providing dedicated Wi-Fi coverage to individual rooms in hotels, offices, dormitories, apartments, guesthouses and other multi-room environments.
